Education:
Se'LADE will serve as a leader in education of its members, the broader healthcare community, and the community at large by offering quarterly CEU programs to the members and an annual community event for the broader healthcare community and the community at large
Se'LADE will promote research in diabetes self-management training and behavior change through contributions to the AADE Foundation
Se'LADE will advance diabetes self-management training as central to quality care and will advance lifestyle management for prevention of diabetes through a speakers bureau, participation in health fairs, and
ADA events
Advocacy:
Se'LADE will advocate for public policy to improve the nation's health through communication with state and local officials
Membership:
Se'LADE will develop a diverse membership that will enhance and promote the benefits of diabetes self-management training and prevention through the team approach by reaching out to physicians, pharmacists, social workers/discharge planners, and therapists
Organizational Excellence:
Se'LADE will continue to develop an effective and efficient organization through electronic communications; quarterly board meetings; web page development, and bylaws
